You’ve probably heard about it already: The new Energy Efficiency Directive has arrived. Tenants should now be able to check their hot water and heat consumption on a monthly basis and reduce it accordingly. In light of the climate crisis, this is a step in the right direction. However, for landlords, owners and administrators, this means that they must regularly inform their tenants about their consumption. Sounds like a lot more work, doesn’t it? Not necessarily.

Light, breezy and easy on the system? Not the words that usually come to mind when we think of the challenges related to the European Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) for condominium owners and landlords. Our goal is to make it easy for them – as easy as easy­square! That is why we are devoting ourselves to this special topic in the July release note, which will go live with API 6.148 on 23 June 2022.

You know, there is one thing we can always count on. Every month our development team conjures up new features and optimisations for our monthly release note. Users of the easy­square tenant and administrator app can look forward to fantastic innovations in June, which will go live with API 6.147 on 30 May 2022. And there’s no hocus-pocus involved!

We plan on staying true to our resolution all year and advancing the digital networking of the real estate industry… paving the way, as we always tend to do. First step: announcing our release note for February, which will deliver useful features for landlords, tenants and potential tenants on 27 January 2022 with API 6.143.

New year, new operating system – more and more smartphone providers are starting to release updates to Android 12. We explain here which updates this will bring for the easy­square apps.

A team of experts has been working on making the easy­square apps barrier-free for some time now. A great deal was done in 2021 to make the mobile solutions easier to operate for an even larger group of users. And further measures are to follow in 2022.

To coincide with the beginning of Advent, we are opening the door to reveal our December Release 6.141, which is going live on 25 November 2021. In a light wrapping, we are presenting a colourful mixture of configurable UX designs, optimised handling and even better means of obtaining information.

Our latest clip clearly demonstrates in just a few sequences what makes the easy­square administrator app so unique on the market. You can see here how and why this solution boosts efficiency, especially for small and medium-sized housing companies and for self-administration.

What makes us at easy­square special? We have the right product for every customer. We can adapt the white label apps to meet customer-specific requirements. Our brand-new website explains how this works and what options are available.

The new admin feature in the web portal will give the bulletin board a new dynamic. What was previously controlled centrally via the ERP system can now be carried out easily via the browser in the easy­square portal, so there are now no obstacles to the exciting content in the easy­square apps.

Many elements of our lives are now conducted over the Internet. And we’re not just talking about working from home or streaming a favourite TV show; every day, mobile apps help us pay at the checkout, open our car or control our building technology. These are all application scenarios that require absolute security – otherwise there is the risk of data, control and trust being lost. Our release note 6.140, planned for 28 October 2021, is therefore devoted to the security of our easy­square products.

The ZIA innovation congress is being held on 26 October 2021 in Berlin with the motto “Shaping the future: intelligently, sustainably, digitally”. If people are discussing questions such as “How can the real estate industry promote the digital transformation and the creation of new business models?”, easy­square will of course be part of the conversation. We offer a solution with our ready-to-run apps.

In our current release note 6.139, which will be rolled out at the end of September (27.09.2021), you can see for yourself how small snippets of code can lead to a big “aha” moment. We can say this much already: our users will be thrilled about clever buttons, groundbreaking images and an admin feature in the cloud.

We will soon be launching our solution for virtual 360° walkthroughs, creating a further element to provide more user-friendliness and efficiency. Users of our solution for rentals and potential tenants will be able to conduct viewings with ease from anywhere.

Information is the be-all and end-all in an efficient partnership. Where’s the most recent correspondence with the property managers? How high are my actual monthly consumption values for heating? Or has the estate agent already looked at my exposé? – If the status can be clearly seen, questions like this answer themselves. With the current release note 6.138 for September 2021, we already announced a few useful communication features on 26 August 2021.

The EU Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) stipulates that, in future, consumption data must be made available free of charge by digital means several times a year on request. Is there any more obvious way to do this than to map the data directly in the easy­square tenant app?

An attractive new feature can now be easily and directly integrated into the tenant app. Exclusive offers can be posted by the hardware store around the corner or the local telephone provider, for example. After all, who doesn’t love a good deal?

The next easy­square release note 6.136 is on the way and will be bringing several updates scheduled to go live on 24 June 2021. With an improved search function and various optimisations in the display of landlord features, it provides plenty of material for our change log in the summer month of July.

A first-class live online event is scheduled for 15 and 16 June 2021, and easy­square will of course be there. For an even better user experience, easy­square apps are now available with widgets. Widgets are design elements that serve as previews of static or dynamic content. They deliver both variety and a quick overview of the top-level services, particularly when the user opens the app. Clicking on one can send users to any location.

As of 10 December 2020, our easy­square apps no longer support Facebook login. New users can simply register for the app using an e-mail address. easy­square platform users who have been using their Facebook login until now can convert their easy­square account in three simple steps.

On 10 December 2020, our expert Toni Schuster will present the EXAD 2.0 solution live. Taking part will be worth your while, as the software will take the creation of heating and consumption cost statements to a new level. The integration of the software into the easy­square networking platform has resulted in an efficient and highly integrated solution and offers real estate companies the option to design company-specific heating and consumption cost statements together with service partners or independently.

easy­square will support Internet Explorer for the web app until the end of December 2020. From 1 January 2021 onwards, another HTML5-capable browser such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari will be required for further use.

It is now technically possible to open and lock KIWI.KI doors through the easy­square tenant app without requiring users to verify themselves multiple times.
